Full Service MTB & Trail Running Event:

The Southern Storm is a full-service Duathlon set in the spectacular Garden Route within the soon-to-be-declared Garden Route National Park. The Southern Storm will be based on an off-road style duathlon of mountain biking and trail running with short sections of kloofing. The event will start at Tsitsikamma and over a period of 5 days, weave its course through one of South Africa’s iconic hiking trails- the Otter Trail, along spectacular coastlines, through indigenous forests, into deep ravines, over majestic mountains and across open savannas, finishing in the Wilderness National Park. Participants will overnight at stunningly beautiful campsites en route.

The Sabrina Love Ocean Challenge embodies a fun filled professional sporting event that, through funds raised, helps support children with physical disabilities. The event promotes community and family participation in a spirit of giving and goodwill. The Focus is on achieving a balance between a serious competition and a fun-filled family experience over the festive season in Plettenberg Bay.

The Waterfront Rush has been dubbed highlight of the Oyster Festival—certainly the most explosive, captivating and spectator friendly event.

Magnetic South challenges anyone with a Spirit of Adventure to exert themselves to the max in 4-10 adrenalin packed minutes during the qualifying rounds at the Knysna Quays Waterfront on the 10th and 11th of July 2008. Top 8 athletes will qualify for the finals on sunday 12th of July to compete for their share in R 10 000 in prize money.

Following last year’s success – there will be 2 races (each limited to 200 runners)

Coelacanth Trail: 13 km
Seahorse Trail: 8 km

Starting the run with a Ferry Trip to Featherbed Nature Reserve. From there you run through the iconic Featherbed Nature Reserve before you finish the race back at the start running across the 3 km long train bridge across the Knysna Lagoon.
